Founded in 2000 by Prof. Dr. Hosam Zaghloul, Autolab pioneered fully automated clinical laboratory diagnostics across Egypt — from specimen collection to result reporting.
Founder & Chairman
Prof. Dr. Hosam Zaghloul
Prof. Dr. Hosam Zaghloul founded Autolab Laboratories in 2000. Born in 1966, he received his MB BCh from Mansoura Faculty of Medicine in 1989.
He worked as a resident of clinical pathology at Mansoura University Hospitals from 1991 to 1994, where he was responsible for inpatient laboratory analysis and blood bank services. He earned his Master of Clinical Pathology in 1994, then served as demonstrator and assistant lecturer until receiving his MD degree in 2000.
He became a lecturer of clinical pathology at Mansoura Faculty of Medicine. Through numerous publications, he was appointed assistant professor in 2005 and attained the rank of full professor of clinical pathology in 2010, serving at the Mansoura Oncology Center.
He has supervised more than thirty master's and MD theses. His area of work and research is microbiology, particularly viral diseases, with a special interest in the molecular diagnosis of these infections.
